Transition Services FTE Equivalents for District Enrolled Students (0.1 FTE)
This service provides the district with 17 transition specialist days and three days of planning and preparation. These days can be used in district for:
- Professional development training
- Providing transition services for groups of students, including career exploration, transition assessments, work readiness, tours, etc.
- Consultation on individual students with disabilities regarding transition issues
- Planning sessions with administrator/teachers
- Access to students to provide services
- Teacher/Staff participation in planning and programming
- Place to provide the services
- Access to class lists and IEPs for students we are working with
- Assistance in getting paperwork completed/copied to make applications to appropriate community agencies
BOCES Responsibilities
- Planning session
- District specific plan to meet transition needs
- Provision of service on agreed upon schedule
- Assistance in addressing transition issues
- Communication between district and community organizations that relate to transition needs
- Updates on current trends/services related to transition
- End of year breakdown of progress
