Teacher and Leader Residency

This service provides a year-long school residency for teachers and leaders who have been granted a NYS Internship Certificate. Residents will complete their Teacher Prep program’s student teacher requirements and school districts will have the opportunity to engage the resident in other responsibilities including but not limited to substitute coverage, covering classrooms, co-teaching, small and full group teaching, and other school duties as assigned. The cooperating teacher preparation school will provide a supervisor to support and develop the resident throughout the term of the placement.
