Administrative Leadership Base
This service is the base fee for on-site and regional district professional development for administrators and instructional support staff. All professional development opportunities are developed under the framework of the Professional Standards for Educational Leaders and/or integrate NY State learning standards. Focus on support such as consultation on SED plans (APPR, etc), Lead Evaluator training, instructional leadership, principal evaluation rubric, administrative council sessions, DDI turn-key models, BOE meeting preparation/support, SEL Support & others. Access to district data for BOCES staff developers is required.
Base fee includes: Regional Lead Evaluator Training for Recalibration and New Administrators & ongoing yearly support
Lead Evaluator New Admin Training and Re-calibration Training criteria: A certified lead evaluator is an individual who has been trained and calibrated consistent with state regulations to conduct evaluations using the district’s selected tools and assessments. Once an evaluator is certified by the district as a lead evaluator, he or she may conduct the entire evaluation, including scoring and rating the teacher/principal. The regulation authorizes a school administrator to conduct observations or school visits as part of the APPR before completing the evaluator training, so long as he or she becomes certified prior to the completion of the summative evaluation. Erie 1 BOCES trainers are regularly meeting with NYSED Office of Educator Quality to receive updates in training concerning all APPR regulations.

District is responsible for attending or scheduling sessions through Erie 1 BOCES.
Erie 1 BOCES delivery will be for planning, facilitation, preparation of materials and customized staff development.

This service is eligible for BOCES aid
Expenditures for stipends for teachers or for substitutes will be eligible for BOCES aid if the following conditions are met:
- The expenses incurred are related to attendance at activities composed of participants from two or more districts
- Stipends are uniform for all participants and are paid by BOCES in a uniform manner;
- Payment for substitutes is initially made to the BOCES by participating districts and reimbursed by BOCES on an as-needed basis. Forms must be submitted by January 30th and May 20th of each year.
