Extended Classroom Service (ECS)
The Extended Classroom Service (ECS) allows students to safely study, learn, and collaborate on homework and class assignments while traveling to and from school, school sponsored sporting events, and field trips. The ECS allows each school bus or take home device to be equipped 4G LTE connectivity pre-configured with safe CIPA-compliant/education/content filters. Data cost is based on program usage with discounted data purchased in bulk, and pooled across devices when available.
Districts can purchase data in bulk pooling their bandwidth and data volume. The data pool is placed in the district account and is available for use across all pooled devices. Unused data rolls forward for a period of 10 months. Additional data can be added to the account at any time. Included with the plan is the cellular router, antenna, and the CIPA- compliant filtering, time of day controls, URL allow/deny controls, and access to reports and analytics.
