Hardware and Software Procurement Services
When districts procure hardware and software through BOCES, this service expedites orders. When the orders arrive, we receive and scan each piece of equipment/software into our inventory database so BOCES can handle any future warranty claims or other related issues with each piece of equipment. Included in this service is secured storage and delivery to the school district. When the BOCES owned equipment has reached end of use in district, this service also covers removal and proper disposal.Please refer to service code 552.880 for full service details.
Procurement can be described as the process from ordering of the equipment or software to receiving such items, paying the bills, inventorying the items, tracking maintenance, delivery and picking up items at the district once ready for return and disposal. Removal of data from hard drives is also a part of the disposal process. This data removal is completed to the Department of Defense level and we do obtain certification that this has been done for each piece of equipment we recycle.
All projects for hardware and software must be in support of a WNYRIC service.
