PowerSchool Security Management
The PowerSchool team creates, edits and maintains all user accounts and groups on behalf of the district, upon receiving requests via a secure process from district-designated authorized staff to assure a continuity of employee work flow and access to PowerSchool. As part of this service, the district will receive an end of year report listing all changes made to the district's security throughout the year.

Participation in 650.200.65 (PowerSchool Security Review)
- Designate primary and secondary contacts to authorize and submit change requests to WNYRIC.
- Sign PowerSchool Security Maintenance agreement.
- Ensure all authorized requests are complete and accurate prior to submitting to WNYRIC staff.
- Create new staff record before submitting request.
- Respond in a timely manner to requests for information from WNYRIC regarding user access.
- Review reports from WNYRIC to ensure users have appropriate levels of access and immediately communicate any changes needed to WNYRIC staff.
- Notify of any staff to be inactivated or deleted.
- Reset passwords for district staff.
- Upon receipt of an authorized district request, implement changes within 24 hours (Note: business hours 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM unless otherwise noted).
- Provide a secure means of requesting changes from authorized district staff.
- Only implement changes received from authorized district staff.
- Apply security-related updates from vendor and communicate any relevant implications or recommendations to district.
- Submit security-related enhancement requests to vendor on behalf of districts.
- Provide annual report to district summarizing permission changes made by WNYRIC for the district.
