Blackboard - Website Implementation
This service covers the planning and implementation of Blackboard's Web Community Manager (WCM) website software. For districts brand new to WCM, the WNYRIC staff assists a district with setup and first year implementation. Our service covers:
- Website transition planning
- Needs assessment
- Implementation planning
- Project management
- Assisting with setup of staging domain for content entry and training
- Orientation to WCM
- Two days of training
- Working with technical staff on cut-over to new site

Required for all districts new to Blackboard's Website Community Manager product.
- Internet domain (i.e.: district.org)
- Encryption certificates
- Provide access to appropriate district staff
- Attend all meetings
- Determine a go-live date
- Work with previous website provider to shutdown previous site
- Removing and keeping content from previous website
- Performing tasks as defined in project
- Act as a project manager for implementation
- Assist district in determining content migration needs
- Provide up to two days of training for site director, site/section editors, and turnkey district trainer staff
