Network Security Audit
A security audit of the WAN and district-based LAN based upon State recommended guidelines and district needs in response to an incident or event including problem resolution of intrusion or breach of security. This audit can be performed proactively or in the case of an event, used to create an incident response plan after a breach has occurred.

This network security audit will include a written report of findings and recommendations. Assist the District in creating an incident response policy, this will involve following standard practices and adhering to Government regulations. Once the policy is documented assist in the creation of an incident response plan, response team, response procedures, and establish a template for incident information sharing and reporting to required individuals and Governmental entities.
Provide WNYRIC with administrative access to all District PC's and Servers.
Run diagnostic tools to prepare audit information.
Deliver written documentation of findings and recommendations.
The WNYRIC utilizes cost effective best practices determined by research that allows our experienced and trained technical staff to perform robust testing and support of the WNYRIC network in the areas of security, infrastructure, energy management, virtualization strategies, disaster recovery and business continuity. Therefore, we are able to be a district advocate for vendor contract issues and aggressively negotiate contract pricing and performance terms. Staff follow best practices in order to provide necessary security as it relates to the most recent student, teacher and principal data security and privacy regulations.
