Maintenance - CRU (Customer Replaceable Unit) Coupons
Cover a customer replaceable part on a unit that is under manufacturer's warranty. May also be used if the vendor performed warranty work and is unable to submit for reimbursement (i.e. no part replaced). Refer to related service code 650.870 for full service details.

- Designate one or more persons as the WNYRIC contact authorized to expend the coupons.
- Provide access to the equipment that is in need of repair.
- Provide contact person, capable of explaining problem, to service personnel.
The Service Desk:
- Will place the call to the service provider and follow up for problem resolution.
- Will maintain a database of coupons purchased/used and provide a report to each district three times a year.
- Will provide a means for purchasing coupons through participation or a service adjustment letter.
- Ensures service personnel are covered by the New York State SAVE legislation that requires fingerprint verification by SED.
- Staff follow best practices in order to provide necessary security as it relates to the most recent student, teacher and principal data security and privacy regulations.
Service Desk can be reached Monday – Friday from 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. by calling (716) 821-7171, 1-800-872-0780. A representative will be available from 4:30 p.m. through 11:00 p.m. to assist you with calls regarding emergency situations. During all other hours and holidays, a caller will receive important information regarding coverage.
