SSL (Secured Socket Layer) 128 Bit District Wildcard Certificate

A SSL certificate provides security encryption for a website.

• Fill out SSL order form
• Generate the certificate (for renewals, at least 4 weeks before it expires).
• Email the certificate to Processor
• Point of Contact specified needs to be available via phone call, email or both to complete order process
• Install the certificate on each server to use the Wildcard
• Keep track of the web sites/servers that use the SSL Wildcard Certificate

• Process the certificate with the vendor
• Email the certificate to the school district contact
• Document that the District Wildcard SSL has been purchased and will need renewal for Participation.
• Notify designated district contact that renewal is upcoming and needed
