Policy or Administrative Manual Review
Erie 1 BOCES Policy Services performs a comprehensive review of the district's current Policy or Administrative Manual to determine if the development of a new manual is necessary or recommended. This review can be done to a manual that is in an electronic format such as BoardDocs.
This service assists districts that are unsure of the status of their Policy or Administrative Manual and want to determine how many policies (or regulations and forms) may be out of date or missing from their manuals. For manuals more than eight to ten years old, the development of a new manual is recommended. For those manuals that may be four to seven years old, a Policy or Administrative Manual review will provide the data necessary for the district and board to make an informed decision on the best course of action.
A comprehensive review of your current Policy or Administrative Manual is performed to determine if the development of a new Manual is necessary or recommended. Following the review, if the district decides decides to pursue the development of a new Manual, the cost of the special project will be deducted from the cost of the new Manual if the new Manual is contracted for within the same fiscal year.
Cost determined by the scope of the project, plus expenses.

The district will supply all necessary information and a current copy of the Policy or Administrative Manual in a mutually agreed upon format for our review.
Policy Services will review the district's Policy or Administrative Manual and will provide a report that includes how many of the district's policies or regulations and forms have had no suggested revisions since last revised; how many have had minor suggested revisions since last revised; how many have had significant or major suggested revisions since last revised; or if any are missing from the Policy or Administrative Manual. For Policy Manuals, a review of sample policies that are required by law or regulation will be conducted with findings shared with the district. Based on the information provided from the review, the district will be able to decide if it is necessary to pursue the development of a new Policy or Administrative Manual.
