Secondary Career and Technical Education
28 CTE programs are offered at three Career and Technical Centers as well as off-site locations. Programs are for 10th, 11th and 12th grade students. Instruction prepares students for entry level employment and post-secondary education. Three week internships are available to students in senior programs. Academic credit for English, math, or science is offered at no additional cost.http://e1b.org/cte
Instruction is 135 minutes per day; five days per week.
CTE programs include: Animal Science, Auto Technician Training, Aviation Technology, Baking and Pastry Arts, Barbering, Building Trades, Career Exploration, Collision Repair, Connections: Health Related Careers (New Visions), Cosmetology, Criminal Justice, Culinary Arts, Cybersecurity and Networking, Dental Laboratory Technology, Digital Media, Early Childhood Education, Electrical Systems, Electronics and Computer Technology, Engineering & Robotics, Fashion Design Technology, Health Careers (Basic Nursing Skills), Legal Academy (New Visions), Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning, Sports Science Careers, Video Production & Recording Arts, Web Technologies and Game Programming, Welding, and Zoo Wildlife and Conservation Careers (New Visions).

- Career Exploration is offered as a full or half year option. It must be purchased as one slot which can be filled by one student or two students for a half year.
- 2 ¼ hrs. per day of instruction
- Instruction by certified career and technical education teachers
- Instruction by certified academic teachers (English, math, science, and social studies)
- Services of special education liaison teachers
- Services of work-based learning teachers, social workers, and guidance counselors
- CDOS Pathway/Credential available in most programs
- All programs are either one or two years in length with the exception of Career Exploration.
