DE Asynchronous Course (including AP courses) - Multiple Sites - Half Year
DE Asynchronous Course taught by a certified teacher in that subject area to students from multiple districts.
These are courses that are offered through the WNY Distance Learning Consortium. Available courses will are located through the WNYDLC Website (here) and are chosen for participating by each district during the All Schools Day Meeting. Please contact the Erie 1 BOCES DE Coordinator for more information on meeting days and available courses.
District must be in the Distance Learning base (454.105.30, 454.105.40 and 454.105.53) OR the Instructional Media Resources base (514.100.10) to participate in this service. If the District chooses to use one of the Moodle AP Courses, they will also need to participate in 454.410.01 AND their teachers must attend the Moodle training.
- Provides contact person to coordinate district/BOCES activities.
- Selects student candidates based on recommended criteria.
- Monitors and controls student attendance.
- Provides transportation for students to attend group meetings and lab activities as appropriate to course.
- Provides feedback for evaluation purposes through student survey.
- Designate hardware, software and network standards.
- Coordinates program and delivery evaluation.
- Monitors and evaluates network.
- Planning, installation, support and implementation of equipment, resources and network.
