National Student Clearing House
The National Student Clearing House (NSC) collects enrollment data from US post secondary institutions. Many high schools contract with NSC for a service called Student Tracker. They send NSC graduate data; NSC matches it with post secondary enrollment data and produces PDF reports for the high school. The New York State Education Department (NYSED) established a contract for this service with NSC on behalf of NYS high schools at a reduced price. This provides NYS district high schools and charter high schools with the NSC PDF reports. NSC also provides NYSED with the enrollment data files for L2RPT reporting. Additionally, NYSED makes the data available to regional centers; WNYRIC uses this data to provide reporting and visualizations via the regional data warehouse. The cost for this service is a fee of $300/high school with enrollment greater than 300 students. It is a required service for all NYS public high schools.
