Maintenance - iPad® Coupons-Repair
- Priced by model: iPad® model 2 - $179; iPad® model 3 and 4 - $189; iPad® mini - $214; iPad® Air and 5th gen - $215; iPad® Air 2- $235
- These coupons will be used for units enrolled in the DEP (device enrollment program) service and also for engraved units.
- Vendor will be dispatched to the district to pick up iPad®. Vendor will repair the unit and ship it back to the district. The lead time on repair will be 5-7 business days.
- Vendor will cover the physical damage of the digitizer, which is the touch receptive glass for a coupon (cracked screen) as long as the iPad® is still functional.
- Physical damage such as water immersion (liquid damage) or glass breakage that has also damaged the underlying LCD/logic board or a logic board related failure is not covered by a coupon.
- A unit damaged beyond reasonable repair is not covered by a coupon. This includes case damage not allowing proper operations of push buttons, slider controls, camera housings/mounts and cable connection points.

- Designate one or more persons as the WNYRIC contact authorized to expend the coupons.
- Purchase enough coupons prior to May 15 deadline to last through end of June.
- Provide access to the equipment that is in need of repair.
- Provide contact person, capable of explaining problem, to service personnel.
The Service Desk:
- Will place the call to the service provider and follow up for problem resolution.
- Will maintain a database of coupons purchased/used and provide a report to each district three times a year.
- Will provide a means for purchasing coupons through participation or a service adjustment letter.

During all other hours and holidays, a caller will receive important information regarding coverage.
- Ensures service personnel are covered by the New York State SAVE legislation that requires fingerprint verification by SED.
- Staff follow best practices in order to provide necessary security as it relates to the most recent student, teacher and principal data security and privacy regulations.
