Mobile Device - Android Prep
Save set up time from individually recording the MAC address of every Android device that will connect to your secured wireless network. Any Android device on the Standards List ordered through the WNYRIC is an eligible device. MAC addresses will be provided through this service to the district designated contact prior to delivery. Once these are imported by the district the Androids will be ready to use upon delivery. Devices are checked for damage and defect prior to delivery.
Why would my district want to be in this service?
- This service will keep your projects on schedule by virtually eliminating out of the box failures and merchandise replacements.
- This service will free your IT staff to do other district tasks.
The district must have a secured wireless network which covers the area where the devices will be used.
The district must provide the WNYRIC with a district designated contact for scheduling for delivery of devices and to receive and install the csv file of MAC addresses to the wireless network.
The district must coordinate with the WNYRIC for delivery of the devices and sign off that all devices have been received as expected through this service.

The WNYRIC utilizes cost effective best practices determined by research that allows our experienced and trained technical staff to perform robust testing and support of the WNYRIC network in the areas of security, infrastructure, energy management, virtualization strategies, disaster recovery and business continuity. Therefore, we are able to be a district advocate for vendor contract issues and aggressively negotiate contract pricing and performance terms.
