Individual Occupational Therapy
This service provides students with an occupational therapist on a one to one basis for 30 minutes. Frequency per week is determined by the CSE.
The therapist will address IEP goals on any of the following: development of cognitive skills to improve attention, memory or problem solving. Sensory integration, self care, daily living skills, safety and compensatory skills may also be worked on by the therapist. Re-evaluations may be conducted as requested by the district.

- Complete the BOCES referral form
- Share the IEP
- Indicate Medicaid eligibility
- Provide relevant educational information
- Notification of CSE/Annual Review Meetings
- Notification of Amendment meeting
- Send in re-evaluation requests
- Provide current script for services
BOCES Responsibilities:
- Provide services per the IEP
- Complete all paperwork required by Medicaid
- Provide supervision
- Perform formal evaluation of BOCES staff
- Provide staff development
- Participate in CSE/Annual Review Meetings
- Provide quarterly updates on student progress
- Collect data for progress monitoring
