Research-Based Bullying Prevention/Intervention
Bullying negatively impacts school climate, making both teaching and learning difficult. This two day course, with two days of subsequent technical assistance, builds the capacity of school buildings to effectively implement evidenced-based, multi-faceted school-based strategies designed to prevent or reduce bullying in schools. Engages youth as partners in improving school climate and culture by increasing their level of "connectedness" to the school community.
The program, which incorporates classroom, individual, family and community elements, provides proven results including reductions in student reports of being bullied and bullying others, as well as significant reductions in student reports of general antisocial behavior, such as vandalism, fighting, theft and truancy.
